01 about

As far back as I can remember, I have always had a pencil in my hand. My father, a school teacher, would come home with large stacks of foolscap paper for me to draw on. To me, it felt as though he had brought home a million dollars. I would spend hours scribbling away, constantly asking, "What should I draw next?" Art was everything to me.
I am naturally a curious person and continually explore new tools, processes, subjects and scales in search of work that truly expresses my artistic voice. The one constant in my practice has been my connection to nature. It is a place of endless inspiration.
My goal is to capture something that brings me joy and in doing so, evoke a feeling or memory that resonates with others.
My work can be viewed by appointment at my studio and gallery on Lac Saint-Louis, the Fairmont Château Montebello and at Boutique Moda Reni in Hudson, Québec. I am an exhibiting member of the Canadian Federation of Artists, and my work has received recognition in international competitions.

03 commissions
Each year I take on a limited number of private commissions. I enjoy the collaboration that comes with creating a piece that is deeply personal to someone else.
The process usually begins with a reference image, along with conversations about size and colour direction. I then prepare a cropped colour-adjusted reference, followed by black-and-white sketch or ink drawing for your approval before I move into colour.
Once the composition is approved, I complete the painting over six weeks. When the work is finished, I share photos or video for your final review before delivery. Framing can also be discussed and arranged as part of the process.
No deposit is required; full payment is due before shipping. If you are interested in a commission, please contact me directly.
